For many years, people reached Theth only on foot by crossing high mountain passes, that connected remote valleys. Today a road passes through Qafa e Thores, making access easier while the valley still keeps its remote character.

Theth is also one of the key villages along the famous Peaks of the Balkans Trail, a cross-border route that connects mountain communities across Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro, attracting hikers from around the world.
